Who is the manufacture of your product line?

Holiday Creations© manufactures of our Full Wave Residential LED Christmas Lights.
Diogen© manufactures of our Full Wave Commercial LED Christmas Lights.
Replaceable bulbs are both Diogen© and Minleon© bulbs.
Greenery is manufactured here in the USA by a private source and lighted with replacement LED C7 or LED C9 bulbs or string LEDs manufactured by Holiday Creations© or Diogen©.

How many LED Christmas Lights can you string end to end?

LED Residential -the average wattage of our LED Christmas Light sets is 4.8 watts of power with a 125V - 3 amp fuses.  The New rating for the UL Listing on LED light sets is 210 Watts. 44 sets end to end at 4.8 watts.

LED Commercial sets are different in that the end to end connections have been changed to a two prong screw together system. This system stops any use of another product on the end and is fused at 5 amps.  You can run 88 LED strings end to end with just one end cord.

What is the difference between Residential and Commercial LED Christmas Lights?

Commercial sets have a two prong screw together system (coaxial) for complete weather proofing.  They are also used for permanent installation.  The wire is a bit thicker, 20 gauge and you can connect 88 sets end to end using just one end cord.

End

Residential sets have the regular Male/Female ends and connect 44 sets end to end.  These are for non-permanent installations. Wire is 22 gauge.

Both our Commercial and Residential LED Christmas Light strings are Full Wave.  They are the same brightness and are both injected molded sealed units for longevity of the product.

What is the replacement warranty for the LED Residential and LED Commercial light sets?

LED Residential product is warranted for 90 day use for 3 years. If take down every year you will enjoy your lights for many years to come. Forever LED replaces the set the first season. After that season they are replaced by Holiday Creations© using there return policy enclosed in the packaging you received.

LED Commercial product has a heavier gauge wire and a two prong screw together system that seals them from the weather. This completely closed system and unique end allows for permanent installation and has a 3 year warranty. Forever LED replaces the set the first season. After that season they are replaced by Diogen© using there return policy enclosed in the packaging you received.

I received my light sets and only half of the string is working?

The rectifier in the middle of the string has failed (probably at manufacturing). We have less than 1/2% failure rating over the last 8 years. Although we would like to see none, this has not been possible to date. We are sorry for the problem. Please contact us for a new set at no cost to you.

If one bulb goes out will the other lights stay on?

Yes, as above in the defective rate this does not happen often, but it does happen. Our lights are parallel wired so that the lights stay on.

I do not like the style or color. Can I return the lights I bought?

Yes, we need you to let us know that you are returning them, please e-mail us. Here is how you return the lights for replacement or money returned.

How come you cannot replace the LED bulbs?

There are several reasons for this, first and foremost is that the lens together with the LEDs are injected molded units to preserve the bases and sets from corrosion.  The old-old sets where replaceable and they only lasted a few seasons before they were so corroded they had to be replaced (not a good use of your savings or on the landfills).

Secondly, the LEDs are power specific.  Each LED color uses a different amount of power.  Replacing a White LED with a Blue LED will cause the socket to go out over a short period of time.  The light sets are setup in such a way that you get the best performance for your investment.

Lastly, you want to know that your light sets are going to last you for years to come.  We respect the money you spend on your lights and want to preserve our integrity in the market.  We do not offer any junk or less than the best LEDs on the market.  Forever LED guarantees it!

I have seen cheaper LED sets on the market, what is the big deal?  Are they all the same?

No, they are not the same! The major difference is that ‘cheaper’ LEDs are usually removable bulbs, very low quality LEDs, unsealed units at the base (pull out area) and at the lens, they are made of an incredibly cheap and thin plastic, they are series circuited (one come out, they all go off) and they are half wave, usually have less than 70 lights per set (20, 50, 60), very low light output, flicker incredibly and have a short life span.

Our Full Wave lights either Residential or Commercial are injected molded sealed unit at the base and lens (no water can enter); we use the best and brightness LEDs for the integrity of the lights we sell. In a chip of LEDs we will use only the top 10% of the LEDs, discarding the others as non usable.  We use a clear, durable UV protected plastic that even semi-trucks have ran over in testing with no breakage.  Our lights are parallel circuit so if one light goes out (rarely) they all stay lit. Our sets are sold in 35, 70 and 100 light sets as the lights are power specific to the number of LEDs for longevity of the product. Our lights are fully rectified units so no annoying flicker and makes for a 40% brighter light. There is more but this is the biggest differences.

What is the wattage of your LED light strings?

25 to 50 lights are 2.4 watts per string - 70 to 100 lights are 4.8 watts per string.

Can I connect Dimmers, Controller etc to my lights?

By all means, have fun! Most dimmers & flashers work fine and the controllers are as great as your imagination! Music, dancing, flashing!

How many LED strings of lights do I need for my tree?

Commercial installers figure one string per foot of tree.  A 6’ tree would require 5-6 LED strings of lights (based on a 70 light set) less for a 100 light set.  Give or take a string for how full you want the tree.  You can click calculator and go to the bottom of the page for number of sets calculations for roof lines etc.

Are Forever LED Light Strings an Energy Star Product?

We are please to announce that we are an Energy Star Product and Partner.

What’s with the bright (almost blue) White and color Variations?

The Pure White LED is bright, a cold effect!  In fact most people think they are eye piercing…Great for some displays not so great for others.  If you want a bright display (many do) then the pure white (even with the cold blue tone) is for you.  If you want to tone it down then buy the New Soft (Warm) White.  It’s more like incandescent lighting.

As to the color variations you will notice the biggest difference in the Blue LED as the spectrum of color has a larger degree of allowance because of the cost. About 90% of the LEDs made for colors like blue, soft white, green, etc. are not allowed because of the range of variation is too wide. The nature of the materials used in LEDs is what drives the costs up. We have maintained a ‘balance’ in the color range to keep your costs down. Although you may notice a change in color especially in very large orders, the color is still true to the product. Most do not notice at all once the lights are hung.

Is there a difference is the LED called Warm White and Warm White?

There is no difference is the color they are the same. Both names Soft and Warm White are used in the industry.

How many LED's are in your lights?

We use one high quality LED per bulb for light strings and three LEDs in the C7 replacement bulb, Five in the C9 Replacement bulb.  Both the LED and lens are colored.

Why are some colors higher in price?

Each color is made from a different material.  The Whites (the most expensive) are made from Red, Blue and Green, using three colors and different material for each color causes them to cost more to manufacture.  The Red, Candlelight, Gold, Orange and Yellows are the least expensive to manufacture.

I do not see the light style, length or color that I am looking for?

Please email us with the product you are looking for. We have containers on the ocean and do not put them on the web site until we can ship them. We also have other importer to pull from. For popular light colors like Warm White or styles M5 and 5MM please pre-order so the lights will be set aside for you. Contact us with your requests.

I received my lights and there is a warning that my lights may have lead in them.  Do I need to be concerned?

The warning labels are the result of lead being added to a list of toxic materials that require disclosure pursuant to California’s Proposition 65. This law requires all products sold in the State of California that contains any amount of a listed toxic material to contain a warning label.

The lead in most light strings is an additive to the PVC wire covering.  It acts as a heat resistant insulator and helps to stabilize the color of the wire.  All PVC including, household drinking water, irrigation systems, appliances, extension cords (or any other wired product) contains some sort of metal stabilizer including lead, cadmium or tin.

These products do not pose a danger with normal use.  You do not need to be concerned as the U.S. government has determined that they are safe when properly used. In the end follow some simple rules: Do not allow children to handle the strings and wash your hands after handling the product.
Most important is to sit back and enjoy the lights and all the effort you put into your displays every year!  In the end you are saving the environment from useless building of power grids and keeping our landfills light string free.  And my favorite countless walks up the ladder to replace burnt out bulbs in the middle of winter!

What are the Lumens of an LED?

You can not directly convert since they measure different things. The most useful explanation is that lumens measure light output at the source, while candelas measure the light that falls on a surface. As the area of the surface increases, the number of candelas will decrease even as the number of lumens remains constant. To complicate this more here is the conversion. Find your LED beam width in degrees, and divide the candelas number in your specs by the cd/lm factor listed for that beam angle to get lumens.

Can I use the C7 replaceable bulbs in candelabra bases?

Yes, you can use the C7 in most candelabra, nite nights, candles, under counter and more, so long as it is the E12 base. (I have had some problems using the C7 in sensor equipment, i.e. dusk to dawn night light)
